Mamie L. Wright was a Daughter, Sister, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, & Community Activist! She loved helping people. Thus, the reason for her constant fight against racism, injustice, lack of housing, discrimination & any other disparities. She donated her time, talent, treasures to support Townsend Community Center, Inc (“The Center”).

To honor Mamie L. Wright & her legacy, her family has established a grant through “The Center”. This grant will assist an owner-occupied resident to make some upgrades/improvements on their residence.

You may pick-up an application at “The Center”, 300 N. 10th St., from 10:00 a.m.  - 1:00 p.m , Monday – Friday. All completed applications & documentation must be submitted to “The Center” by 12:00 noon on Friday, June 7, 2024.
