Harambee
After School Program
"We recommend our students attend Harambee. Their staff is compassionate about helping not just the children, but the entire family."
- Ms. Elizabeth Markward
Principal, Crestdale Elementary School
"Harambee," translated from Swahili, means "All pull together." This spirit embodies the mission of Townsend Community Center, Inc. for the participants in our After-School Program.
We serve as a safe haven for children ages 5 to 18, offering homework assistance, tutoring, and life skills development. During their time with us, they receive nutritious snacks and hearty meals. Once their academic tasks are completed, they engage in both structured and unstructured activities under adult supervision.
